Are you passionate about Christmas? Have you the energy and drive to be your best and exceed expectations? Are you persistent and patient? And can you untangle up to three metres of Christmas lights in three minutes or fewer? Then Tesco may well just have the perfect job for you.
The UK supermarket giant is launching its first ever Christmas light untangling service in Wrexham, and is currently advertising for an individual with the right skills and solid understanding of fairy-lights string theory to help customers prepare for the forthcoming festive season.
The 36-hours-per-week contract is a brand new position, and offers applicants the opportunity to run their own in-house service, dealing with members of the public whose Christmas lights have become so entangled that only a paid professional can sort them out.
Tesco has confirmed that it will offer the untangling service to customers free of charge in the four weeks leading up to Christmas. Those struggling with their lights at home will be invited to enter the Wrexham store, deposit the tangled mess with the successful applicant, and then collect their properly stored lights after they’ve finished making their way through the decked aisles of the supermarket.
The salary for the position has not yet been revealed, but Mashable reports that an official press release from the retailing giant claims “a typical day could involved untangling up to 60 sets of lights.”
