Tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur to demand the resignation of the country's prime minister.
Najib Razak denies corruption allegations which surround a multi-million dollar payment made to an account under his name.
Al Jazeera reports up to 50,000 protestors wearing yellow shirts have gathered at five designated areas in the capital city, as part of a two-day rally organisaed by activist group Bersih.
The group is calling for Najib to stand down, and for the introduction of reform measures to bring more transparency to the government.
Previous rallies have been met with water cannons and tear gas, and the Malaysian authorities have already cracked down on websites which it says "promote, spread information and encourage people to participate" in protests.
