Music fans are descending on Slane in County Meath this afternoon ahead of tonight's Foo Fighters concert.

Ash, Kaiser Chiefs and Hozier will also perform later.

With rain forecast for the day, the 70,000-strong crowd are set for a washout, but these concert-goers in Dublin aren't letting that bother them.

They to reporter Róisín Treacy before they left for Meath:

This year's Slane concert is just one of several major outdoor festivals and events around the country this June Bank Holiday weekend.

The Forbidden Fruit festival is taking place at Royal Hospital Kilmainham, with Wu-Tang Clan headlining tonight. The Life festival has been bringing crowds of revellers to Westmeath.

Meanwhile the Bloom garden festival is continuing in Dublin's Phoenix Park, and on Monday the women's Mini-Marathon takes place in the capital.
