Popular news site Huffington Post has bestowed our own Temple Bar with the dishonour of being one of the world's most disappointing destinations.

The much maligned 'cultural quarter' ranks up there with the likes of Hollywood, Niagra Falls, Frankfurt and Las Vegas.

In the piece, Temple Bar is described as "a prime example of the rampant fleecing of drunken tourists that should be avoided at all costs," whose bars and nightclubs are nothing but "expensive tourist traps."

Thankfully, Dublin is praised outside of this sole black mark.

The article describes the city as "great" and encourages prospective visitors to "seek out a pub literally anywhere else in Dublin for a better experience."
