20 rowers are taking on the challenge of travelling around the coast of Ireland to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
The team sets off from Bray in Co Wicklow today for the mission that will take months.
On their website, organisers say the event "will comprise of a two-rower crew who will average 20 miles per day, using a change over crew at certain stages, from a panel of 20 rowers".
They add that rowing that distance a day is a "significant physical and mental challenge", involving sitting in a boat for six hours in whatever weather conditions they have to face.
The Row-A-Round Ireland challenge was organised to raise funds for fighting cystic fibrosis. Ireland has the highest incidence of CF in the developed world, affecting approximately 1 in 1,600 births.
