The Survivors of Symphysiotomy group is calling on the government to put forward a compensation fund of between €250-€450,000 for each woman.
Symphysiotomy surgeries were carried out on women at childbirth - their pelvis was broken, often without their consent, and most women suffered long-term health problems as a result.
The government has commissioned a report into the practice - which is expected to be published tomorrow.
But the SOS group says the Walsh report does not go far enough - and the compensation scheme on offer will not be enough.
