Temporary border controls begin in Sweden today to help stem the flow of refugees.

The restrictions will begin at midday and last for the next ten days.

The Swedish Interior Minister has denied they're trying to limit the number of asylum seekers, and claims they just want to get better control of the problem.

Elsewhere, Slovenia has begun building a razor-wire fence along its border with Croatia.

The developments coincide with the final day of a migration summit of European and African leaders.

The meeting in the Maltese capital Valletta has already seen the setting up a €1.8 billion trust fund for Africa, to tackle the root causes of poverty and security that are forcing people to flee.
