There seems to be no end to the ways people can incriminate themselves via social media. This latest story involves an alleged mugger who got a little too friendly with his victim!

Komo News reports that a victim of robbery later received a friend request on Facebook from the man who is suspected of the crime.

Riley Allen Mullins, 28, has been charged with second-degree robbery in Kitsap County, Washington after a woman was mugged by a local ferry terminal.

The woman had been sitting listening to music when she was struck from behind and her iPod and purse were stolen.

The next day the woman received a notification from the man, whom she recognised from a distinctive neck tattoo. Investigators later confirmed it to be Mullin's account.
