Officials in Canada have named the suspect in the attack on the Ottawa parliament buildings earlier today, who was killed at the scene, as Michael Zehaf-Bibeau.
Canadian police were not willing to confirm if the deceased, who was shot at the parliament building, was responsible for shooting dead the Canadian soldier at the National War Memorial.
Reuters reports that U.S. agencies have been advised that the shooter was a Canadian convert to Islam. Officials also believe that the man was from Quebec.
