Temperatures are set to stay below average for this time of year on Sunday as the day gets off to a cold start. 

That will see frost and icy patches develop, but soon clearing before some sunny spells start throughout the early stages of the day.

It will be mostly dry but with increasing amounts of cloud, which will produce some patches of mist and drizzle in the northwest this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will reach somewhere between 9-11°C in the afternoon, accompanied by moderate to fresh southwesterly breezes.

That mixture of cloud, mist and drizzle will continue on into the night on Sunday, especially over Connacht and Ulster. However, the lowest temperatures will be higher than Saturday, ranging between 3-7°C with a moderate, westerly breeze.

The outlook for Monday is largely similar, with a few bright or short sunny spells poking through the clouds. Some patches of mist and drizzle about too, mainly through the morning. 

Temperatures will drop overnight on Monday, but the rest of the week will see them climb to slightly more normal values for this time of year, with scattered rain and drizzle to continue most days.
