Dead grandmother, sick pet, an unlikely bout of smallpox - if you want to skive off your exams, you'll have to come up with better excuses than these.

Two students at the University of Georgia in the US have devised a fool-proof plan to miss their finals. Flagpole reports on a post on classifieds site Craigslist in which the students ask to be run down by a car. They make it very clear that mortal injury isn't part of the plan:

"We do not want to die, we just want to be injured enough to get out of taking our finals."

Well surely a person who gets their kicks from knocking people over wouldn't take things too far!?

And the reward? "Hitting two lovely ladies by vehicle w/ permission."

Yep, I'm sure this would never attract anything other than nice, mentally-balanced types.

Craiglist has since done the sensible thing and removed the post.
