There is some heavy rain on the way for the south east of the country.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Waterford, Wicklow and Wexford.
It comes into effect at 2pm and is expected to remain in force until 8pm this evening.
Forecaster Andrew Doran Sherlock said the area is likely to see some “heavy showers with localised thundery downpours.”
“It is going to be a fairly showery setup for the afternoon,” he said.
“There will be some heavier bursts in that and the risk of some thunderstorms. So there is a quite a likelihood in the south eastern areas that there could be over 20ml falling within the six-hour period so it could lead to a risk of spot flooding.”
Weather Warning for Rainfall.
