It has been well documented that The Wizard Of Oz synced up rather perfectly with Pink Floyd's seminal album, but now a new coincidental discovery has been made... in a galaxy far, far away.

According to this Reddit post, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens lines up with The Dark Side Of The Moon in almost perfect harmony.

If you push play on the album just as the opening scroll comes to an end and the camera pans to reveal the massive spaceship and then stick the album on repeat, The Dark Side Of The Moon will play out three times, with each repeat of the album syncing up with each act in The Force Awakens.

The home entertainment version of the movie has yet to be released, but the first eight minutes of the movie - soundtracked by the infamous prog-rock album - has been uploaded online, and from what we've seen so far, the theory does appear to be pretty sound. So that's eight minutes down, one hundred and twenty seven to go...
