Six US companies will create 320 new jobs in Dublin over the next three years.
The companeis - Squarespace, Pond5, Wave2Wave, Amazing.com, Asana, and Primary Intergration - operate across a range of areas, from website publishing to entrepreneurial business courses, and will be recruiting for roles in their Dublin operations.
The new positions will be in the technology and business sectors.
Speaking at the IDA Emerging Business Media Event at City Hall in Dublin, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said the new jobs "are a big boost to Ireland’s technology scene and are a testament to the talent available in Ireland.
"These companies join the ranks of Ireland’s thriving software sector."
Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton has also welcomed the announcement, saying "a key part of the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs is ensuring that we attract more fast-growing start-ups and emerging companies to locate in Ireland, so that they establish deep roots here from early in their growth and make a major impact on our economy.
"These are emerging companies that IDA have identified as part of its strategy, which has been running now since 2010.
"These are often high growth companies who over time will become really significant players and we have been encouraging them to make their first footfall, if you like, outside the United States in Ireland and that has been a very successful element.
