Sinéad O'Connor has announced she is cancelling her appearance at the Galway Arts Festival, along with all of her summer performance dates, due to illness.
The singer had been due to headline a concert at the Festival Big Top on Thursday evening.
O'Connor's management said the musician "apologises profusely to her fans but she cannot travel this summer anymore. She is suffering from exhaustion due to an existing not resolved medical situation and she has been advised by the doctor to stop any activity and rest. Because of this she is completely unable to travel and to perform."
Thursday's concert will go ahead with John Grant performing, and the Sharon Shannon Big Band have now also been added to the bill.
Everyone attending the concert will receive a complimentary drinks voucher, along with a €10 festival voucher for next year's Big Top programme.
Organisers are also offering full refunds for anyone who no longer wishes to attend the show. You can find refund details here.
