Every Halloween brings with it a choice selection of tasteless costumes based on recent tragedies, and of course 2014 is no different.
The recent discovery of a 'sexy ebola containment suit' available from US-based retailer Brands on Sale has received hundreds of condemnations on Twitter and other social media sites.
The outfit, which is on sale for $59.99, comes with scrubs, face shield, breathing mask and gloves. Another, non-sexy version is available for males for an additional $10.
Though the recent outbreak of the disease has killed over 5,000 people, the product description takes a light tone:
"As the deadly Ebola virus trickles its way through the United States, fighting its disease is no reason to compromise style.
"The short dress and chic gas mask will be the talk of Milan, London, Paris, and New York as the world's fashionistas seek global solutions to hazmat couture."
Here's a selection of responses from Twitter:
Sexy Ebola nurse costume. Whelp, we had a good run. Goodbye.

If you see someone wearing a "sexy Ebola" costume, this Halloween, I will not judge you for injuring them in some non-fatal way.
