Seven men have died in crashes on Irish roads in the past two days.

Six people were injured in the five crashes reported on St Stephen’s Day and yesterday.

Crashes in Mayo and Wicklow yesterday took the lives of two people.

A man in his 30s died in a crash involving a car and a bus on the M11 at Ballynabarney, in County Wicklow shortly before 10pm last night.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene and Gardaí said no other injuries were reported.

Separately, a man in his 30s died after a two-car crash on the N60 near Breaffy in County Mayo yesterday.

Three other men and one woman were taken to Mayo General Hospital for treatment after the crash.

Technical examinations are continuing at both scenes.

Separately, three men died in a crash involving a car and a lorry in County Tyrone in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The men, all aged in their 20s, were pronounced dead at the scene, while a fourth man was brought to hospital with serious injuries.

Meanwhile, a cyclist in his 80s died after he was hit by a car in Dublin 10 yesterday afternoon.

Finally, a man died in a two-car collision near Ferns in County Wexford on St Stephens Day.
