A search operation has been launched in eastern France after a fighter jet disappeared from radar in a mountainous area of the country.
Officials said the plane vanished from radar at around 11am this morning local time.
The Mirage 2000, which had two people on board, had been flying in the Jura and Doubs regions, near the Swiss border.

Local police and members of the airforce are taking part in the search efforts.
Authorities indicated there's yet to be contact from the two pilots.
French media reports that the area has seen heavy snowfall in recent days.
According to the L'est Republicain website, some debris has been found by officials taking part in the search.
