An aide at a school in Pennsylvania, USA has been placed on leave after apparently feeding children dog treats during their break.
Parents received notice that a part time supervisor offered the snacks to 75 of the school's students last Thursday.
WFMZ spoke to one of the fourth-graders (9-10 years old), who said:
"She made it look like it was a joke that they were dog treats and then she came around and said, no they are cookies. They are fine."
Though some parents are outraged by the breach of trust, the snacks are not belived to be harmful. A statement by the school's superintendent read:
"Our research on the product indicates that the treat ingredients would not be harmful to people, with the exception for those individuals with specific food allergies."
