The showers will be mainly in Atlantic coastal counties at first, but they will become more widespread during the afternoon. The east and southeast will remain largely dry.

Highest temperatures of 12C to 15C degrees in light southwest winds.

TONIGHT

Largely dry tonight at first tonight with clear spells.

Later in the night, rain will move up from the south – mainly affecting Leinster.

Lowest temperatures of 3C to 8C, mildest in the southeast. Winds will be light and variable.
