Today

Dry in most areas at first, with just a few scattered showers or patchy rain and drizzle.

More persistent rain will develop in west and southwest coastal areas, extending eastwards to all parts during the morning and early afternoon.

Becoming very windy also, with fresh to strong south to southwest winds.

Clearer conditions, with scattered showers, will develop in the west and northwest later, extending to all parts by early tonight.

Maximum temperatures 9 to 11 Celsius.

Tonight

Clear spells will develop in all areas tonight, but scattered showers will occur also, most of them in west Ulster, Connacht and west Munster.

Winds will veer southwest to west, easing in most areas, but strong along Connacht and Ulster coasts.

Minimum temperatures 2 to 5 Celsius.
