Mr. Chada's solicitor James Hanley expressed concern for his client and said he is keen to make sure he is looked after.

Mr. Hanley initially requested a psychiatric assessment - but after clarifying that there is no question of fitness to plea at this stage, Judge Conal Gibbons directed that Mr. Chada receive the appropriate medical treatment.

Sanjeev Chada was remanded in custody to appear at Harristown District Court again on August 16th.

His two sons, Eoghan and Ruairí, will be buried today.
