Ryanair’s traffic figures continue to grow. Last week it announced that passenger numbers grew by 11 percent during its past financial year to the end of March.
This morning it says it carried 9.5m passengers in May, an increase of 16 percent on the same month last year.
The airline’s load factor – that is the average number of seats occupied per flight also increased strongly through the month – it is up by 7 percent to over 90 percent.

Ryanair Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs attributed the growth to the company's lower fares, strong forward bookings and its “Always Getting Better” customer experience improvement programme.
The airline expects this strong performance to continue as it launches its new website, a new app and further fare reductions.
Last week it forecast a 10 percent rise in profits and passenger numbers during its current financial year.
