On August 27th Mitt Romney announced himself to the US public at the Republican Party Convention as the man who would take back the White House from the Democrats.

He said he would do this by winning the election on a platform of reducing the size of government and encouraging free enterprise.

3 weeks later the Romney’s campaign was a bit of a mess as one ill-advised comment after another makes him seem completely out-of-touch with ordinary Americans.
