The death toll following a nightclub fire in Romania ten days ago has risen to 45.

The drummer of the band playing in Colectiv nightclub at the time of the blaze died from his injuries last night.

90 people are still in hospital - 48 of them remain in a serious or critical condition; 21 of those injured have been transported to hospitals in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Israel and Germany.

Romanian Prime Minister, Victor Ponta, and his Cabinet resigned on Wednesday after mass protests and prosecutors say the city's former mayor has been arrested in connection with the blaze.
