A detour off the Ring of Kerry and a Dublin pub have been included in a newly-published list of the best 'secret spots' in Europe.
The 'Lonely Planet' has placed the Cromane Peninsula in Kerry at number 5 - ahead of Greek beaches, Italy's olive groves and Berlin's famous bars.
The guide says "Driving around the Ring of Kerry is an unforgettable experience in itself".
It cites Jack's Coastguard Restaurant as 'a local secret' that 'justifies the trip', adding that "Entering the 1866-built coastguard station feels like arriving at a low-key village pub".
The list describes the Kerry hotspot as "one of Europe's top 50 undiscovered and overlooked spots".
The Ring of Kerry is listed as 'an unforgettable experience'
Meanwhile, Kavanagh's Pub in Glasnevin, Dublin which is affectionately known as 'The Gravediggers' is described as an 'other-worldly experience'.
It says "The cracking little establishment is set next to the old gates of Glasnevin Cemetery" and that "Walking into the pub via the left-hand door is literally stepping back in time".
The guide suggests that local folklore dictates "the original owner decreed that all subsequent owners not change the decor" - owing to its old-world feel.
Ciara Whelan and John Slattery from The Holiday Show on TV3 told Newstalk Breakfast that everyone will have their own list.
