The reward for anyone with information in relation to the murder of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe is expected to be doubled.
Detective Garda Donohoe was gunned down outside the Lordship Credit Union in Bellurgan, Co. Louth last month during a botched robbery.
The Irish League of Credit Unions previously offered €50,0000 for anyone with information on the killers to come forward.
However it is believed that reward will now be upped to €100,000.
Around 4,000 people - including 2,500 Gardai - attended the State funeral for the 41-year-old in Co. Louth back in January.
