Revenue officers have seized some 111,000 cigarettes and almost 68 kilos of tobacco have been seized in Cork and Dundalk.

Officers searched premises on the north side of Cork city and in Dundalk yesterday and discovered the contraband worth around €86,000.

Two cars were also seized.

Two men in their 50s and 60s have been questioned in connection with the discovery.
