With those seeking the Democratic nomination in the run for the White House next year debating for the first time last night, Republican hopeful Donald Trump stole the show on Twitter, by live tweeting his reaction to the CNN debate.
While most media organisations are saying Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders were the big winners in Las Vegas in the inaugural argument of the 2016 cycle for the Democratic nod, the Republican front-runner and seasoned debate participant Trump promised everyone he would be weighing in on the action.
"At the request of many, and even though I expect it to be a very boring two hours, I will be covering the Democrat Debate live on twitter!" Trump tweeted Tuesday morning. His throw down was met by an eager Hillary Clinton.
.@realDonaldTrump Glad you'll be watching. It's going to be "huge."

The PR powerhouse, with more than four million followers on Twitter, pulled no punches as he analysed the debate in his typically bombastic style, issuing unfiltered and colourful criticism of the Democratic candidates’ performance:
Everybody's talking about my doing twitter during the likely very boring debate tonight. @realDonaldTrump #DemDebate

Trump was not the only high-profile American to weigh in on the debate, with former president Bill Clinton and many Hollywood celebrities tweeting their thoughts:
What happens in Vegas...is I watch @HillaryClinton prove she's the most qualified candidate for POTUS. #ImWithHer pic.twitter.com/ax1d56Whwt

Hey CNN-- your opening sequence for the Democratic Debate probably shouldn't feel like a Mayweather fight.

Making a bucket of Debate Bolognese. Verrrrry spicy with a hint of passive aggression. Not for the faint of tongue. #DemDebateCantWait

Bernie Sanders set the agenda of this Election. It's pretty amazing considering where he came from and how the media has treated him.
