Human remains were discovered in Rathmines on 9th April, and they have now been positively identified as those of Stephen Corrigan.

It follows DNA analysis using a sample provided by Stephen's mother, who has since passed away.

She was the only other known blood relative of Stephen, and gardaí are now working to identify any surviving members of his family.

They're calling on any relative or anyone who knew Stephen to contact Rathmines Garda Station on 01 666 6700, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
