Minister for Children, James Reilly has weighed in on the Marriage Referendum.
He's said the Family and Relationships Bill does not affect the referendum which will be voted on on May 22.
It comes as the 'Mothers and Fathers Matter' group launched their NO campaign for next month's referendum on same sex marriage yesterday.
Mr Reilly says the referendum is an "equality issue" and does not impinge on the rights of parents.
He says the issues dealt with in the Family and relationships bill are separate to the referendum issues:
