In her first public appearance since Oscar Pistorius was released from jail, Reeva Steenkamp's mother has said she does not want revenge.
Paralympian Pistorius spent one year of a five-year sentence for culpable homicide behind bars. He will serve the rest of his sentence under house arrest in Pretoria.
June Steenkamp insists she does not want retribution, but the family has complained that he is living in luxury at his Uncle's home in Pretoria:
"I didn't want him to be thrown in jail and to be suffering, because I don't wish suffering on anyone and that is not going to bring Reeva back but in my heart I don't want revenge towards him. I am past that."
She made the comments after delivering a speech on violence against women, written by her model daughter before she was shot dead by Pistorius.
