A man is still being questioned in West Belfast on suspicion of murdering the son of a former world boxing champion.

22-year-old Eamonn Magee Jnr - also a professional boxer - died in hospital yesterday morning after he was stabbed in the Twinbrook area of the city.

His father is former WBU welterweight champion Eamonn Magee Snr.

Police in the North launched a murder investigation following the suspected stabbing of the 22-year-old just before 2.40am yesterday morning. 

A 32-year-old man was arrested in the Dunmurry area on suspicion of murder, and is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
