Police in the North are warning people to be alert, following a distraction burglary in north Belfast.

It happened in the Lowwood Park area yesterday afternoon, when a man claiming to be from the water board called to the home of an elderly woman.

One man is believed to have distracted the occupant while two others entered the house.

All three made off on foot.

People are being asked to check for ID and to keep a look out for suspicious activity.
