Police in the North have launched an investigation after shots were fired at a patrol vehicle in Belfast.
The incident happened in the Brompton Park area of Ardoyne at around 10:30pm last night. People were gathered in the area at the time but no one was injured.
Lee Reynolds is a DUP councillor in the area. He says the attack was indiscriminate.
Two weeks ago a blast bomb was thrown from the same area towards the roundabout at Ardoyne.
Loyalists in Twaddell Avenue and Woodvale Road areas are protesting after a Parades Commission ruling that Orange Orders were not to parade back up the Crumlin Road past Ardoyne on the twelfth of July.
Meanwhile in west Belfast shots were fired at the door of a house in Andersonstown. The property at Tollnamona Court was targeted at 2am on Tuesday. However no one was injured.
