Opposition to water charges is building with three separate moves to stop the charges being implemented taking place across the country today.
'Communities against water charges' will attempt to block the installation of water meters in Dublin North East.
'Right2Water' will meet the Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, to voice their concerns as he arrives in Galway this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Independent Councillor Paul Gogarty has submitted a motion calling on the Government to hold a referendum on water charges which will be heard at the monthly South Dublin Council meeting in Tallaght tonight.
The moves comes as The Health Minister said yesterday he believes there's a broad acceptance from "most of the public", that it makes sense to pay for water.
Minister Varadkar's comments come as its reported Government may be planning a two tier system for the charges - with changes to be announced in the coming weeks.
