Pro-choice rally takes place in Dublin following Abortion Pill Bus tour

A pro-choice rally is taking place in Dublin city this afternoon.

Campaigners who have been travelling around Ireland on the Abortion Pill Bus will hold a demonstration outside the central bank from 3.30.

The bus previously stopped in the cities of Galway, Limerick and Cork yesterday and today, before it made its way back to Dublin.

Pro-choice activists are led by ROSA (for Reproductive rights, against Oppression, Sexism and Austerity), which is promoting an online service that prescribes women with abortion pills.

Groups campaigning for the 8th Amendment to be removed from our constitution will be taking part in today's rally.

The 8th Amendment gives equal right to life to the unborn as that of the mother.

Dublin TD for the Anti Austerity Alliance Ruth Coppinger, travelled around on the bus this weekend.
