The country's archbishops reacted to a decision to legislate and regulate on abortion when a woman's life is at risk this week by warning that it would 'pave the way for the direct and intentional killing of unborn children'.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny says they're entitled to their views, but the government's required to act.
