On The Right Hook today, George will welcome Senator Katherine Zappone live in studio to discuss the case of undocumented migrants living in Ireland.

Dr Zappone, an immigrant to Ireland and independent member of Seanad Éireann, currently sits on the Oireachtas Justice Committee, which heard from representatives of the Migrants Rights Centre of Ireland yesterday. The body explained to TDs and senators how a scheme to regularise the migrants' lives could dramatically improve their lives.

It is estimated there are between 20,000 and 26,000 undocumented migrants living here, many of whom have Irish born children. Many of them came to Ireland legally, though some would argue that they entered the country under false pretences.
