Police in the North say the substance discovered in Co Antrim is non-hazardous.

Officers attended the scene at a postal sorting office in Enterprise Way in Newtownabbey after reports of a suspicious package.

Members of the North's Fire & Rescue Service were also deployed at around 9.25am.

The alarm had been raised over a quantity of white powder found in a package.

However, the powder has since been checked by emergency services and found to be a non-hazardous substance.
