Police investigating suspected murder of Antrim woman release man without charge

In the North, police investigating the suspected murder of Pauline Carmichael in Antrim have released a 59-year-old man without charge.

61-year-old Pauline was last seen near her home in Hillside on Monday night.

Officers recovered a body from the shore of Lough Neagh during searches yesterday.

In a statement, Detective Chief Inspector Alan Dickson said that the body "which was recovered from the shore of Lough Neagh at Lough Road yesterday... has been formally identified as that of Pauline Carmichael."

Police said yesterday they are treating the disappearance of the Antrim woman as a murder investigation.

A 37-year-old man remains in custody.
