The average person manages just seven smiles a day but at least one is probably fake. That is according to a new survey of over 2,000 adults.
The more cheerful among us manage 11 while the grumpiest produce just one.
We are most likely to give a fake smile to our boss with 51% admitting to faking it in the work place. While a smile from a lover transformed a day for just over 24% of people. A smiling child or other family member cheered up some 22% of us.
A spokesman for Blanx who carried out the UK-based survey said "We don't smile as much as we thought the UK would, an average of seven and a half times each (and) every day".
"That's not a lot when you think about how many people we come into contact with every day" he added.
