Members of the band who were performing at the Bataclan theatre at the time of the Paris terror attacks have been describing how people hid in their dressing room.
89 people were killed when gunmen stormed the theatre where Eagles of Death Metal were performing.
The band's merchandise manager - Nick Alexander - and three representatives of their record label - Thomas Ayad, Marie Mosser and Manu Perez - were among those killed.
Band members have told VICE News the gunmen were able to get in to their dressing room and killed almost everyone - with the exception of one person who hid under a leather jacket.
Lead singer Jesse Hughes thinks so many died because people simply would not leave their friends.
"People were playing dead, and they were so scared," a visibly emotional Jesse tells the interviewer. "A great reason why so many were killed was because so many people wouldn't leave their friends.
"So many people put themselves in front of people," he added.
Jesse is joined in the interview by band member and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme, who was not touring with the band at the time of the Paris concert. His charity The Sweet Stuff Foundation has been collecting donations for the victims of the attacks.
The full interview is set to premiere on VICE next week.
On Wednesday, Eagles of Death Metal told their fans on Facebook that they had flown back to the US and were safe – but said they were "horrified and still trying to come to terms with what happened in France".
Confirming all of the band's shows were on hold until further notice, the statement added: "Although bonded in grief with the victims, the fans, the families, the citizens of Paris, and all those affected by terrorism, we are proud to stand together, with our new family, now united by a common goal of love and compassion".
