Most of us believe peer pressure is more likely to encourage youngsters to start smoking rather than pack designs.

The findings are from a poll commissioned by a major tobacco producer.

It suggests around 3 quarters of us don’t think plans to bring in plain packaging will put youngsters off taking up the habit.
