A former MEP and junior minister has been selected to run in the general election for Fianna Fáil.
Pat 'the Cope' Gallagher will feature on the ticket in Donegal alongside sitting TD Charlie McConalogue.
The pair were nominated at a convention held this afternoon.

Fianna Fáil only currently holds one seat in Donegal, where two three-seat constituencies are being merged into a single five-seater.
