An orange weather warning is in place for fog across the country tonight.

Met Éireann says mist will thicken to fog in many places.

It says this will lead to "greatly reduced visibility" and poor driving conditions.

The fog is likely to clear only slowly during tomorrow.

The alert is in place from 8pm tonight.
