One person is dead and 27 are injured after a passenger train derailed close to Brussels.
Images from the scene in Leuven, 12 miles east of the Belgian capital, show one passenger carriage lying on its side.
The accident occurred as the train had left the Leuven station at slow speed in the direction of Brussels.
Belgium’s prime minister Charles Michel visited the crash site which is about 16 miles east of Brussels.
Services between Brussels and Leuven were suspended, including some headed to the airport.
