Britain's largest structure, the ArcelorMittal Orbit Tower, will soon be turned into the world's largest slide.
The 114m tower, which sits beside London's Olympic Stadium, was designed by Turner-prize winning artist Anish Kapoor, and is constructed of winding red steel frames.
The slide will begin 80m above the ground, and will loop five times around the tower before depositing riders at the bottom.
For £85, visitors can already abseil down the structure - but a single slide should come at the relatively bargain price of £5 when it opens next spring.
Peter Tudor, director of visitor services at the Olympic Park, said:
‘What more exciting way to descend the ArcelorMittal Orbit than on the world’s longest and tallest tunnel slide. This slide really will give a different perspective of Britain’s tallest sculpture.’
