The Psychiatric Nurses Association is lifting its industrial action at University College Hospital Galway.

The union had engaged in a work to rule at the Acute Psychiatric Unit over staffing and safety concerns.

Talks have been ongoing at the LRC between the PNA and HSE - it's been agreed that additional staff are to be provided for the unit.

The six bed High Observation Unit will be reopened.
