A former police officer and his 12-year-old daughter have escaped uninjured after a booby trap bomb was discovered in Belfast.
He discovered the bomb after checking under his car in the Kingsway Park area of Dundonald before taking his child to school.
The First Minister Peter Robinson has described those who planted it as "Neanderthals".
A major operation was undertaken to diffuse the bomb in the east of the city.
It is the third such incident in this area of Mr. Robinson's constituency in recent times. He says the political progress made will not be broken by these people.
While Chief Superintendent Nigel Grimshaw says there are those out there intent to kill or maim.
